| Lung Cancer in Dogs - A Story & Complete Guide In this article we will discuss the causes, symptoms and treatment for lung cancer in dogs. Did you know that dogs can get cancer from the Cigarettes that you smoke in the House? Well yes it's true - Cigarette smoke is thought to be one of the most common causes of this condition. We recently purchased a dog called George from a couple living some sitance away - when we picked George up he stank of smoke. We placed him in the car and I could smell him from the drivers seat. However, it wasn't only Georges coat that smelled - his behavior was strange as he seemed quiet, not interested in people and even slightly depressed. However, after one week in a smoke free House George's behavior had completely changed. George was lively, happy, interested in what was going on and smell free. I have no doubt that the owners of George had been smoking around him and caused these behavior changes. I also think that if we had not purchased George when we did he may have develped Lung Cancer too. Symptoms The symptoms of Lung cancer in Dogs can include: Coughing Your dog may appear tired and not interested in exercise - he may even become more tired after exercise.
